It's a small world!

Ok, this is the last one on Disneyland, I am sure you are all getting sick of hearing about it, but this was one I just have to share!

While we were at Disneyland,we used the ART (the bus system from Hotels to Disneyland) It worked out great, because they had a bunch of buses (I can't remember how many, but it was more that 12, maybe around 16) anyways, they all had their own rout, so that it wasn't very long, our bus was #3 it only stopped at 3 hotels, and Disneyland, our hotel was the middle one. Anyways, on our last day there, we had gone home in the middle of the day to rest, and let Austin take a nap because he REALLY needed one!! Anyways, Mom and me and Tanner and Bryce decided to head back to the park, while Jason and Austin took a break. When we went out to catch the bus, it had just left, but that was no big deal, because it came around about every 20 min. So we sat and waited, then when we got on we were the only passengers. There was only one other stop before we got dropped off at Disneyland. Well, here is where "It's a small world" comes in. When we stopped at this stop, 4 people got on. They are from our small town (of only about 160) It was funny because what are the chances? Of all the buses, all the routes, all the times of day, and we had just barely missed the last bus!! It was fun seeing them, and we all had a good laugh. Then again at the end of the day, we left Disneyland about 10 but the park doesn't close till 11 but we had had enough. When we got to bus 3 guess who else was there? Yep they were there again. I figure about 6% of our town was at Disneyland that day!!
It was fun to see you guys there!

Silhouettes

When we were planning our trip to Disneyland, I told Jason there was one thing I especially wanted to do when we were in Disneyland, silhouettes.
When I was a kid and went there with my family, we had these done, there is a little shop on main street Disney, and I have always thought they were so cool, my mom still has these, and we were looking at them not too long ago, and seeing if we could tell who was who. Well, as you can tell, they still had the shop, and I was so excited! My mom even bought us the frames, because she said she always regretted not getting them when we had them done before, because they never actually made it on the wall, because she never found the right frames! Thanks mom!!
Can you tell who is who?

Austin and Jason's Birthday

Austin and Jason's Birthdays are only 5 days apart, so we always have a combined birthday party. This year we got home from our vacation on Saturday, so we had the party on Sunday. My dad came down to pick up my mom, and Linda and Larry (Jason's Parents) came over, we wish we had more family that lived close, I miss the big family get togethers, but it was nice to have them come.

Jason's Uncle Scott makes these bears, so his parents had this one made for Jason for his Birthday

Bryce's Journal Pages

One of Bryce's school assignments for while we were gone was to write a journal for our vacation. It is great! So I scanned it in and you can (try) to read it for yourself!

Goofy's Dinner

Thursday April 2, was Austin's 7th Birthday, we were still at Disneyland, and he thought the whole day was all his, he had to be the first person on every ride, and he thought he got to choose everything we did, needless to say, by noon we had had it!! We went back to the Hotel and made him take a nap wich he desperately needed! But then the afternoon went more smoothly. Our friend told us to make reservations for Goofy's dinner so we did, he failed to tell us how expensive it was!! It was really fun, the Characters were great, the food wasn't anything to talk about, but the service was great, and they made a big deal about Austin's Birthday! If you want to go, just be prepared to pay big time for it!

On Tuesday, Wed., and Thursday, we were at Disneyland, and California Adventure. It was a ton of fun, but I don't know if my feet will ever be the same!
One of the fun things that we did was collect pins. You can purchase a lanyard, and pins in the shops, then whenever you see a Cast Member (worker) that has pins, you can trade with them. The thing that we didn't find out till Wed. night, was that there are certain pins that you can't buy, they only give them to the cast members to trade, they are called "Hidden Micky's" they have a little micky head shape on the pin and on the back it tells how many are in the set. So that made it even funner to trade with the Cast members, because we were now looking for the Hidden Micky pins. The kids had a ball with this, and were always on the look out for cast members with pins to trade.

Universal Studios

On Monday, we traveled up to Universal Studios, it was a great day, Austin was scared of the rides, he gets scared with movie type scary, not the acutal ride, but he finally refused to go on some, but we still had fun, the highlight was when we saw Scooby Doo and Shaggy!

Ocean Fishing and the Pier

On Sunday, March 29th, we just had a free day, Rebecca's boss owns a Pier in San Diego, so we went there, and Jason and the boys got to fish. we saw a Sea Lion, (I think that is what it was called) and they had fun, then we went to another Pier and saw some old ships. Austin was sick, so we didn't stay long, we just went back to the Hotel and let the kids swim.
