Duct Tape Day

Last week Tanner informed me that this week was going to be a spirit week at school, being a boy, he didn't have too much info. He did get that one day was going to be Duct Tape Day. I have made a few things out of Duct tape, wallets, roses, and a bag, and they all turned out pretty well, so I googled some Duct Tape Projects and here is what we came up with.

We made a Hat
A reversible Vest (one side is red and black, the other side is silver and black)

and a Tie.
They all turned out pretty good, the Vest turned out really good. I thought I had seen a pattern somewhere, but I couldn't find it again, so I ended up having to do it free hand, but I think it turned out pretty good.
Tanner had to call his friend Joseph to find out what day was what (I guess Joseph pays better attention) anyways it was monday, and they chose a few of the best ones, and Tanner was one of them, he got a free BIG cany bar as a prize. YEA!

He thought it was pretty cool. Today was career day, we couldn't think of anything clever, but he wanted to dress up, so he just wore a Jazz Jersey. That is a career right?

Let's get Wild

In Case you can't tell, this is a line of Cows walking in front of my house
And I did see so new baby calves today, so it must be spring

Ok, so living up here with all the cows, I guess I needed some excitement in my life, and since we now have a full fledged Salon in our tiny town, complete with a tanning bed, nails and pedicures, and soon to come facials along with the hair cuts, etc. I must have been just so excited, because I went extreme!! I just washed my face, and am ready for bed, and I am sure no one wants to see me like that, so you will all have to wait with anticipation for pictures of my new do, but at least you have advanced warning. (My dad says it looks Sassy)

Let's Go Fly A Kite

Austin is on the edge of the grass, on the right side of the picture, and that is his lone kite up in the air.

Today Austin's class had a kite flying activity. Since he didn't dare take the kite on the bus with him, I told him I would bring it, (I secretly wanted to take pictures because I was in desperate need to blog about something).

They had both the 1st and 2nd graders flying kites, and they had the 5th graders there to help.

I really didn't have much to do, but take a few pictures. Bryce is in there somewhere, but he was off and gone so I didn't get any pictures of him.

A whole lot of Sick!

Sick, Sick, Sick
Ok, so my whole household has been sick on and odd for about a month now, Tanner and Bryce had Strep a few weeks back, and I had them on antibiotics, but apparently Tanner forgot to finish his off (I guess that is what I get for letting him be responsible for taking it) but he was out of school for a few days then. Then about a week and a half ago, he got sick again, so I had him finish the meds, and luckily the doc had given us a few extra for the next time to start on, so he finnished those but had to miss a few more days of school, which he didn't mind, but I sure did! Then Austin started to not feel so good. Luckily he got over it without a trip to the doc. Then last weekend I came down with something and it kept me down all weekend but by monday I was feeling a little better so I went up to water aerobics... Bad idea!! I guess my lung capacity wasn't quite up there, but I didn't want to look like a wimp so I kept at it and I paid for it!! I was so sick the rest of the day!! Yesterday was a little better, but today, I still can't quite get the deep breaths in. To top it all off, Jason started comming down with it last night, so we went to town and bought more cough drops, and some Airborn and started him on it, hopefully he will get over it quickly! So needless to say, we haven't been up to much lately. Except, I am trying to plan our trip to disneyland, we are going at the end of the month, we are going to go to Seaword, and disneyland for sure, but if anyone has some wise advise, or suggestions, please let me know, I am kind-of shooting in the dark at this!!
