Day Trip

Last week, we decided to take a road trip, Jason loves history, and he had been wanting to go to Paris, Id and go through the tabernacle there, they give tours of it. So I thought if we were headed that way anyways, let's to to Minnetonka Cave. It was really fun, the tabernacle was really cool, it is so neat to see the architecture in it!
The Cave about did me in! 888 steps! with a really steep section of 71 stairs they call the stairway to heaven! They have a guide take you through it, it has lights all along the way so you don't even need a flashlight, but you do need a jacket, because it is a constant 40 degrees in the cave. They think that this cave may be 150 miles long! That would make it the longest known cave in the world! My legs felt like jello when we were done, but it was worth it! After the cave, we decided to drive into Montpellier to eat dinner. There is a little pizza place there that we really like so we stopped and ate dinner, then we drove through a little town called Dingle and around the East side of Bear Lake to come home, it was a fun day out with the family! I think we are going to try to go to Fossil Bute Monument by Kemmerer sometime in the next couple of weeks.
This is the Paris, ID tabernacle

My sister and her family came up last summer and we did the same thing. My grandmother was from Paris, ID. It was a lot of fun. We also went to some ice cave where there's snow and ice year round.
